Live Cams at Mote Aquarium

Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is a sensational trip for visitors of all ages, offering up close and personal viewing of exotic sea creatures like sea turtles, sharks and more. Two of their most popular exhibits - manatees and river otters - are available for daily digital viewing via live cams on their website.

Siesta Beach Live Cam

America's #1 beach is a top attraction for visitors looking to soak up some sun on the world-famous Siesta Key sand with a view of the turquoise waters of Florida's Gulf Coast. While it may not be the same as a full sensory experience on the beach, EarthCam serves up those award-winning Siesta views daily on their website.

Sarasota Bay Live Cam

You can watch the sunrise, sunset, or just check out the afternoon weather across Sarasota Bay from high above downtown Sarasota thanks to the daily live cam from The Bay Sarasota - a community-involved redevelopment initiative. The website also has a live feed of the soothing sights and sounds of the fountain at the Sarasota Garden Club.

Shark Scavenger Hunt

Venice is known as the Shark's Tooth Capital of the World due to the thousands of fossilized teeth that wash up each year on their south Sarasota County beaches. Historic Downtown Venice  encourages guests of all ages to learn more about the species of sharks found in the Gulf with their Shark Spotting scavenger hunt. Spot 10 bronze sculptures of different shark species as you roam the sidewalks of Venice Avenue, and if you can't find a few, check the website for some helpful hints.
