It's been less than a year, but a new Sarasota hotel is garnering high praise from visitors according to the popular hotel-booking service TripAdvisor.

According to a recent article, TripAdvisor put the Carlisle Inn on its "7 of the top hotels in Florida" list.

TripAdvisor says its list was assembled "based off of feedback and reviews from TripAdvisor travelers," and shared this excerpt from a review of the new hotel in Sarasota's Pinecraft community:

Sarasota’s beaches and amenities don’t just appeal to the living. Apparently, some former residents love it so much, they stuck around after death.

“We definitely have our scary ghosts,” says Sarafina Murphy-Gibson, a tour guide with Discover Sarasota Tours. “But there are a lot of happy ghosts. We’re kind of like the land of Caspers.”
