Sarasota BMX track celebrates its 50th anniversary this year

TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 2, 2024)—USA BMX will kick off its 2024 National Racing Series this weekend in Sarasota, where hundreds of professional and amateur BMX riders from across the world will compete at the USA BMX Sunshine State Nationals.

The event offers three race distances tailored for novice triathletes and seasoned veterans alike, with over 300 athletes competing throughout the day.

More than a stop on the map, North Port is a city of small discoveries and everyday adventures—where outdoor escapes, sporting games and community energy come together.

North Port is currently the fastest-growing city in Sarasota County.

Whether new movie releases, childhood favorites or cult classics, there are a number of outdoor movie venues to enjoy the nights of Sarasota.
