January 15, 2019. 7 PM. "Our Local Treasures: Warm Mineral Springs and Little Salt Spring" presented by Steven H. Koski, Sarasota County Archaeologist. Mr. Koski is an archaeologist with the Sarasota County Dept. of Historical Resources who specializes in "underwater prehistoric sites." He worked as an assistant underwater archaeologist at Warm Mineral Springs and is a former Research Associate at Little Salt Spring for the University of Miami. Mr. Koski will explain findings from both Springs dealing with a time period between 6,000 and 13,000 years before present. He has a BA in anthropology and archaeology from the University of Massachusetts and an MA from Arizona State.
