Visit Sarasota County Adds to Communications Team

SARASOTA, Fla. (June 15, 2021) – Visit Sarasota County is excited to welcome Jess Bertolini to the team as Website & Social Media Coordinator, and Nate Sweetman as Communications and Public Relations Coordinator.

Jess will play a critical role on the Brand Team maintaining the website and Partner Portal, as well as developing and maintain our presence on social media and other digital platforms. Jess joins VSC with an extensive professional background in tourism and beyond. Most recently, she worked as Marketing Director for Travel Leaders Fargo and Magnum Tours, a Belize tour operator. Prior to that she spent eight years in Europe, including time as a photographer and Marketing Director for a local DMO in Spain's Canary Islands.

Jess is originally from Minnesota and enjoys the outdoors and, of course, traveling!

As the Communications and Public Relations Coordinator, Nate will be spearheading all PR initiatives, including press relations, visitor information and event communications around Sarasota County as a visitor destination. Nate earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Science, with a minor in Writing & New Media from D'Youville College, a small private school located in Buffalo, NY. Since graduation, Nate has held numerous Public Relations and Communications positions with sports organizations, including the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and The IRONMAN Group.

Although Nate has traveled many places being a military brat, he is now excited to call Florida home. Nate comes with ambition to learn and continue growing his media and public relations skillset with joining the Visit Sarasota County team.
