Grass Skirts, Hawaiian Shirts Luau
The Sons of the American Legion Post 254 will host a Grass Skirts, Hawaiian Shirts Luau from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019. The event is to raise money for a newly formed North Port Veterans Hardship Fund. The Luau will take place on the grounds of the American Legion Post 254, 6648 Taneytown Street in North Pot and feature a variety of entertainment, including island-themed music by DJ Scotty Dog, professional fire dancers and prize awards for best Hawaiian shirt, best grass skirt, a hula hoop contest and a limbo contest. Food will include Hawaiian sno-cones from The Shiver Shack and a hog roast. All ages are welcome. The event is open to all North Port veteran organizations, American Legion members and their guests.
