About Lauren Jackson

Lauren Jackson is the Eat & Drink editor for Sarasota Magazine. She’s been at the magazine since 2022 (and was a subscriber long before landing the gig).

Her first writing assignments as a brand new writer were for Visit Sarasota County in which she detailed much of Sarasota’s growing restaurant industry. Lauren attended culinary school, studied food science and worked in the hospitality industry for nearly two decades, all of which give her a unique perspective on Sarasota's ever-evolving food scene.

She’s personally invested in telling Sarasota’s food stories and, although she’s sometimes tempted, she never gatekeeps her favorite spots. You can read more of her articles at SarasotaMagazine.com
