Beachside Concession Eats & Drinks

Savor stand-out bites and beverages at Sarasota County's public beach pavilions and concession stands.

Imagine enjoying a cool snack or thirst-quenching drink while taking in the picture-perfect views on one of Sarasota's beaches. Does life get any better?! The great news is you don't have to leave your beach of choice to grab refreshments—you know, the kind that hit the spot during a day of salt, sun and surf.

Several of Sarasota's popular beaches have public pavilions or window-serve concession stands where you can order what you want and enjoy it at nearby tables on their shaded, beachfront decks or back at your beach setup.

Chef Laszlo Bevardi combines island flavors from around the globe with traditional beach favorites to make the menu for Lido Island Grill, located within Lido Beach Pavilion. (You can also find his cooking at Bevardi's Salute, an Italian restaurant in downtown Sarasota.)

Lido Island Grill features a sizable menu, with Gulf Coast highlights that include coconut shrimp, grilled mahi tacos, ceviche, fried calamari and a Gulf grouper sandwich.

Plus, if you're looking for a fun adult drink—on the rocks or frozen—you've got beachy-keen choices like a rum runner, piña colada and Lido lemonade, made with vodka and lemonade.

Be sure to check out the colorful background for Lido Island Grill's logo when you visit—it's perfect for pictures. The logo is a sea turtle originally designed by one of Chef Laszlo's daughters and remade by renowned Sarasota artist Tim Jager.

Siesta Key Beach is world-famous for its crystal-quartz sand and family-friendly vibes. With its popularity, it makes sense that the public beach offers a giant parking lot, plenty of wash-off stations and restrooms, covered dining areas and a beautiful concession stand, operated by Siesta Beach Eats with two different areas—the Sand Pavilion and the Sun Deck—for ordering food as well as getting beach apparel, gear and beach rentals from its store.

The best part about Siesta Beach Eats? You barely need to leave your setup. You can go directly to one of its two locations to order and pick up your food, or you can go to its website and follow the instructions for ordering online and getting beachside delivery to the green, red or blue lifeguard stands. Simply let them know the color of the lifeguard stand nearest you, and they'll let you know when your food has been delivered there. (Note that the online menu may be different from what you can order by visiting one of their physical locations.)

Siesta Beach Eats features a breakfast menu with highlights like avocado toast, bagel sandwiches, a breakfast burrito and even Bloody Marys.

Then for lunch and dinner, you've got choices like flatbreads, fish and chips, and a blackened mahi sandwich. There's even chicken fingers and hot dogs for the kids (or picky eaters!).

Siesta Eats also has refreshing, boozy drinks like the Siesta Margarita, Siesta Sunset, Miami Vice or strawberry daiquiri, in addition to beer and non-alcoholic selections like soda. There's even ice cream and frozen lemonade for dessert.

shark tooth concessions

Shark Tooth Beach Concessions takes its name (and logo design) from the multitude of shark teeth that wash ashore on south Sarasota's shoreline and attract visitors to area beaches to hunt for them. These shark teeth have been part of our beaches for millions of years, and the nearby town of Venice is even nicknamed the "Shark Tooth Capital of the World."

The menu itself features classic American favorites that'll feed the whole family, like chicken and waffles, Philly cheesesteak and nachos.

The menus for both the Nokomis Beach and North Jetty Grille locations feature beverages to help beat the heat on a hot, sunny day. Enjoy draft or canned beer, fountain sodas, mojitos, cold-brew coffee roasted by Black Gold Coffee of Venice or local cocktails, like The Shark Bite or The Jetty Juice.
