Formed in 1995 with the acquisition of the Longboat Observer, The Observer Media Group has grown into a family-owned and operated multimedia company with seven community newspapers, two business newspapers, six websites, four magazines and multiple social media channels reaching more than 412,404 people throughout Florida.

The company's portfolio includes three free community weeklies serving the Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla., market - Sarasota/Siesta Key Observer, Longboat Observer, and the East County Observer; Palm Coast Observer and Ormond Beach Observer, free weeklies serving the east coast market of Flagler and Volusia counties; West Orange Times & Observer and Southwest Orange Observer, serving the communities of Winter Garden, Windermere, Horizon West and Ocoee in west-central Orange County; Jacksonville Daily Record, a paid daily business newspaper serving Duval, Clay and St. Johns counties; and the Business Observer, a paid-circulation weekly with subscribers extending from Tampa to Naples. The company's associated websites include YourObserver.com, ObserverLocalNews.com, OrangeObserver.com, JaxDailyRecord.com and BusinessObserverFL.com. Magazines include Season, a quarterly arts and social guide; LWR Life mailed quarterly to homeowners in affluent Lakewood Ranch; Key Life mailed three times a year to residents of Longboat, Lido, Siesta and Casey keys and Baldwin Park Living, a monthly lifestyle magazine in the Orlando region.
