As visitors are eyeing the Sunshine State for cooler weather and reduced crowds this Fall, Visit Sarasota County’s newest seasonal tourism marketing campaign aims to position the region as the destination for serenity and sport. From July 1 through September 30, the campaign will appeal to travelers seeking a relaxing escape, with a visual focus on shopping and golf, emphasizing the charm in trading scarves for sandals along the Gulf.
Visit Sarasota County will lean into a combination of digital and print ads and social media storytelling, targeting key drive markets – including Atlanta, Greater Tampa Bay, Orlando, Miami, and Naples – as well as further-off major metros like Boston, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Washington, D.C., among others.
“Seasonal campaigns like this further demonstrate that rather than resting on our laurels, we’re having a pulse check with our community – to ensure every post and promotion is helping generate more economic impact for our region,” said Erin Duggan, President and CEO of Visit Sarasota County. “Our Fall efforts underscore this commitment by putting our serene sights and sporting adventures front and center, reminding our friends up north that this can be your season of leisure – with plenty of sun and outdoor fun, with less of the crowds.”
Golf and shopping were selected as visual highlights for the fall campaign due to their strong seasonal appeal and alignment with Sarasota County’s visitor interests.
“Fall is such a great time to reconnect – with yourself, with the outdoors, and with the people and places that make you feel at ease,” said Kelly Harb, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Visit Sarasota County. “The visuals in this campaign reflect that – showcasing real experiences like getting out for a casual round of golf or spending time exploring local shops in one of our many shopping districts. It’s all about showing that Sarasota County has plenty to offer when the crowds thin out. We’re using simple, eye-catching imagery and clear messaging to remind people that this is a great time to visit and that there’s no wrong season to be here.”
