What happens after happily ever after?
That is the heart of Into the Woods. It is whimsical and witty,
but it is also about family, grief, responsibility, community, and the courage to keep going when life becomes more complicated than we imagined.
Into the Woods brings together Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, Rapunzel, a Baker, and his Wife in a story that begins like a classic fairy tale, and then becomes something deeper, more emotional, and far more human.
The first act is full of magic, humor, and the thrill of wishes being granted. The second act asks the harder questions: what comes after the dream, what we owe
each other, and how we move forward when life does not go as planned.
This is the kind of bold, meaningful storytelling that defines Rise Above: entertaining, moving, and unforgettable.
Set to Stephen Sondheim’s brilliant score, this funny, magical, thoughtful, and emotionally rich musical weaves beloved fairy tale characters into one powerful story.
