We’ll cover the basics of glass and mirrors, touch on techniques for navigating the night sky, and explore different types of telescopes. Most importantly, we’ll cover the practical steps to setting up and using your own telescope with confidence.
Session Two: Putting it into Practice
After you learn the ropes of telescopes, join us after dark in the Riverside Plaza to put your skills to the test with a 2-hour guided observation session. With our Planetarium Educators on site to provide one-on-one assistance, you’ll get hands-on experience, aiming, focusing, and finding celestial wonders.
