SFF Sports Program Part of the Sarasota Film Festival
April 17, 2026 See All DatesThe SFF Sports Program, part of the Sarasota Film Festival, is a free community event taking place on Friday, April 17 at 6:00 PM at the New College of Florida soccer field (5800 Bay Shore Rd, Sarasota), with films beginning at 7:30 PM.
The event celebrates sports through a mix of live programming and film, starting with a Business of Sports panel featuring experts including former NBA player Kenny Anderson.
It also includes a World Cup Tribute youth soccer clinic led by players from Sarasota Paradise and New College of Florida, where kids can actively participate and train on the field with local players.
The evening continues with a screening of the short comedy “Ski Dawgs,” followed by an outdoor showing of the 1981 film “Victory,” starring Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine, and Pelé. Food trucks will be available on-site throughout the event.
