Michelle Shocked
March 08, 2026 See All DatesMichelle Shocked is an American singer-songwriter whose alt-folk edge and clear-eyed storytelling made an underground buzz go mainstream. She broke through with “Short Sharp Shocked” and the fan favorite “Anchorage,” then pushed boundaries with “Captain Swing” and “Arkansas Traveler,” blending folk, swing, and roots with a fearless, socially aware voice. Onstage, Shocked brings wit, warmth, and improvisation, turning each performance into a one-of-a-kind conversation where set lists bend, songs evolve, and the room feels like part of the band. For fans who crave craft, candor, and the spark of spontaneity, her live show delivers the kind of connection that lingers long after the last chord.
After a 13-year hiatus, activist & musician Michelle Shocked has emerged with the release of her audio memoir, “Bootleg This: Truth vs Reality v2.0”. Forty years after her legendary bootleg album, The Texas Campfire Tapes, snuck into the world, the Grammy-nominee returns with a vengeance. Shocked will perform solo acoustic & is touring alongside Cintra Wilson who will present a short solo drama of Samuel Beckett’s one man show, “Krapp’s Last Tape”.
