The American Legion Glen Peters Post 266, in partnership with Project: VetRelief, will host the Veterans Benefits Fair, a community-wide event connecting veterans, active-duty service members, and their families with the help and resources they deserve.
The free event will take place Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM at American Legion Glen Peters Post 266, 5201 Richardson Rd, Sarasota, FL 34232.
The fair will feature agencies representing over 250 trusted veteran-support partner organizations, offering direct access to benefits guidance, housing support, employment programs, and mental health resources. These agencies serve as strategic partners working together to help veterans navigate multiple opportunities through a single point of contact.
A Mission to Ensure No Veteran Is Left Behind
Event coordinator Larry Roberts, a proud veteran and member of the American Legion, shared why this initiative means so much to him:
“As soldiers, we live by the creed: ‘I will never leave a fallen comrade.’ That promise doesn’t end when we come home. Too many veterans face battles we can’t see—fighting for benefits, stability, or simply hope. This event is our way of making sure no veteran gets left behind—not on the battlefield, and not in life.”
Roberts emphasized that this event is about connection, collaboration, and compassion—bringing together organizations that share a unified mission to stand by those who served.
