About the Chef

Born in the charming town of Pallanza, Italy, Chef Andrea’s journey began amid rolling hills and sun-drenched vineyards. His grandparents’ farm was his playground, where fresh ingredients went straight from the vine to the table, instilling a deep love for quality and flavor that would define his culinary path.

By 15, Chef Andrea knew the kitchen was his calling. He honed his craft at the prestigious hotel school in Stresa, spending his days in the classroom and his nights working in local restaurants, immersing himself in the vibrant energy of the culinary world.

After graduating, he set sail with Princess Cruises, traveling the globe and gathering culinary influences along the way. But it was Sarasota’s magnetic charm that stole his heart. In 2003, he made the move, and in 2009, he opened Andrea's on Siesta Drive.

Today, Chef Andrea’s mission is simple: to bring the essence of Italy to your plate. He sources the finest local produce, wild-caught fish, and sustainable ingredients to create dishes that are as fresh as they are flavorful. Homemade pastas and breads, made with flour from a small mill in Napoli, add an artisanal touch. And to complete the experience, Chef Andrea offers an extensive selection of wines and cheeses, bringing a taste of Italy right to Sarasota.
