Waterside Place
Catch Live Music at the Plaza every Friday and Saturday, 6–9 p.m., while taking in waterfront views of Kingfisher Lake. Or plan around the monthly Sights & Sounds series which showcases local theater performances, orchestras, a cappella groups and dance troupes. Seating is limited for these events—feel free to bring a lawn chair.

One of best things about Waterside Place is that you can enjoy margaritas and tacos right from Agave Bandido's takeout window and outside lounge, which happens to be directly beside the pavilion where live music is played. Snag a table or couch for front-row seats to the lakeside show. Alternatively, opt for a more sophisticated sit-down dinner by strolling across the street to Kore Steakhouse between sets. The authentic Korean barbecue is a show in and of itself right at your table.
Downtown Sarasota
On the first Friday of every month, the city blocks off a different street for Fresh Fridays, a free outdoor party featuring live entertainment, music and food, from 7–10 p.m. It’s the ultimate way to taste the local flavor while dancing in the street.
