WBTT's Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe's annual “Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” is a soul-stirring annual tradition created by WBTT Founder/Artistic Director Nate Jacobs and Reverend Charles McKenzie. Highlights include dramatic reenactments of Dr. King's most famous speeches, gospel and soul music, and dance. Additionally, the 2027 winners of the Sarasota County Bar Association‘s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. essay writing contest will be announced.
