Off the Page: Nathaniel Philbrick

A conversation with National Book Award–winning author Nathaniel Philbrick, known for “In the Heart of the Sea,” adapted into a major motion picture, as well as “Mayflower” and “Travels with George.” Philbrick will discuss his recent work and explore how he brings early American history to life through research and storytelling. A book signing will follow.

Off the Page is a monthlong literary celebration hosted by Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources that takes place in November. The event features bestselling authors, book signings, writing workshops and more with all 10 library locations participating.

All Off the Page events are free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase while supplies last, or you may bring your own copy for signing. No registration required, seating is first come, first seated. Parking is available on site, but early arrival is recommended.
