EcoSummit 2027

Florida faces a future of declining ecosystems, rising pollution, and unchecked sprawl. Do we choose this future by default or a new future by design?

EcoSummit 2027 brings together visionary thinkers, scientists, and innovators to explore a new future for Florida, one where thriving ecosystems, clean air and water, and regenerative cities support both nature and human health.

Through speculative storytelling and real-world solutions, the Summit moves from imagination to action across four critical domains: natural lands, resilient waterways, human health, and living cities. With two extraordinary keynote speakers anchoring the Summit’s journey – world‑renowned speculative fiction author, Kim Stanley Robinson, and visionary tech journalist and futurist, Peter Leyden – EcoSummit 2027 explores not just what’s possible, but how we get there.

Blending eco‑sci‑fi, cutting‑edge technology, performing arts, and community action, the Summit offers a positive, forward‑looking alternative to the typical gloom‑and‑doom narrative. It’s a one‑of‑a‑kind experience for civic leaders, scientists, planners, and engaged citizens, kicking off Wednesday, March 31, 2027, with the eco‑arts performance Shopping Center of the Universe, followed by two full days of community, education, and inspiration on April 1-2, and concluding with the hands-on Festival of Innovation and Discovery on April 2-3, which brings the Summit’s ideas to life through interactive exhibits, hands-on experiences, and workshops.
