Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation

Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation enriches lives, inspires creativity, builds connections, and strengthens the community through the power of the arts. In partnership with the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Foundation serves more than 40,000 students, educators, families, and community members each year through arts education, family engagement, and arts and wellness programs.

From Schooltime Performances that introduce young audiences to the magic of live theater to research-informed initiatives that support creativity and well-being, the Foundation offers free opportunities for learning, connection, and meaningful participation. Programs also include classroom residencies with professional teaching artists, hands-on experiences for families, and professional development that helps educators bring the arts into their classrooms.

The Foundation is also partnering with the City of Sarasota to plan and build a new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. Envisioned as a resilient, inclusive cultural destination, the future Center will expand access to world-class performances, educational opportunities, and shared experiences while supporting the region’s cultural vitality and economic growth.
