Sarasota Metropolis FC is a premier minor league soccer franchise based in Sarasota, Florida that competes in the United Soccer League (USL) League 2 — the top men’s pro-am league in North America. USL League 2 is considered the 4th level of soccer (comparable to Single A in baseball terms) in the United States below Major League Soccer and the United Soccer Leagues First and Second divisions.
