This 15-acre park was previously the home of the Sarasota Gun Club before all shooting activities were moved to Knight Trail Park in the mid-1980s. The land was originally acquired by Sarasota County in the 1940s. Miss Sarasota Softball has its headquarters here. They are a non-profit organization, providing a recreational fastpitch softball program for all girls age 4 -16. This program is tailored to all levels of play - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Miss Sarasota Softball had its debut in 1976, and has continued to provide an outlet for the girls of our community.

Their fall season runs from September to November, and the spring season runs from February to May. They also offer yearly summer camps for new and current families.
