Visit Sarasota County Launches Social Media Campaign

SARASOTA, Fla. (May 8, 2014) – In celebration of National Tourism Week, Visit Sarasota Count (VSC) announces their newest campaign, #mysarasota. Designed to encourage those who live, work, play and travel to Sarasota County, to share their favorite experiences taking place in Sarasota County.

As part of the campaign, a contest begins today.  Social media users living and visiting Sarasota County are invited to submit images of their favorite times and experiences in Sarasota to our contest and use the hashtag (#) mysarasota for a weekly chance to win Sarasota-based experiences such dining gift certificates and tickets to local attractions.

"We know the best recommendations come from friends and family," says Erin Duggan, Director of Brand at Visit Sarasota County. "This campaign is a fun way to engage the community while garnering authentic images and content showcasing Sarasota County. The participants are essentially becoming VSC’s brand ambassadors on social media."
