2104 USA Ultimate Frisbee Masters Championships to be held in Sarasota, Fla.

 

SARASOTA, Fla. (December 20, 2013) –  Sarasota County, on Florida’s west coast, was selected by USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, to be the site of the 2014 Masters Championships from July 18-20.

"USA Ultimate has had a long-standing relationship with Sarasota with their Club Championships being here for 13 years," stated Nicole Rissler, Director of Sports for the Sarasota County Sports Commission, a division of Visit Sarasota County. "We are thrilled to have them returning in 2014 with their Masters Championships."

Hosted by the Sarasota County Sports Commission, the event will take place on the grounds of the Sarasota Polo Club. Sixteen teams in each of the men’s masters, women’s masters and grand masters divisions will compete for national titles in 2014.

"We are honored to host the 2014 USA Ultimate Masters Championships here in Sarasota," remarked Tournament Director Tim Naylor. "We welcome the returning players from years past as well as those making their first trip.  With our world-renowned fields and beautiful white sand beaches, we plan on making this tournament an adventure the whole family can enjoy."
