SARASOTA, Fla. (January 12, 2015) – Visit Sarasota County offers an online events calendar for potential visitors to pursue when planning their visit to our destination. Organizations offering events that appeal to tourists are invited to enter their event into the calendar free of charge.  The calendar is located at www.visitsarasota.org

“Traditionally the events calendar is one of the most visited parts of our website,” says Erin Duggan, Director of Brand for Visit Sarasota County. “It is important to have the community’s support to get all events entered so that we can showcase the breadth of all there is to see and do in the entire county.”

To take it further, we use this calendar to pull an event list that we distribute to the front desk staff at hotels every Friday.  They then share this information with their guests.
