November 25, 2019

SARASOTA, Fla. (November 25, 2019) – Sustainable and farm-to-table movements are a staple of dining in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.  To better inform visitors about our agricultural offerings, Visit Sarasota County and Discover DeSoto have updated our popular Local Farm Guide to provide more information about what our top culinary region has to offer.

The easy to-use guide is simple to read with color-code information providing information on the availability of locally owned produce, farms and farmer’s markets in the region.  Included in the guide are farms, farmers markets, community gardens, culinary events and farm resources around the destinations.  A convenient map also highlights which farms give tours and are open to the public and more.

Buying and eating fresh and local supports local farmers and restaurants, saves the environment, improves your health and provides a more authentic and sustainable dining experience.
