Who We Are

The VSC is the official destination marketing organization for the Sarasota County region, presenting our community as the ideal location for  leisure visits, meetings, reunions, wedding and sporting events.  We provide targeted exposure with regional, national and global audiences, direct sales opportunities, visitor experience opportunities, free educational events and extensive social media endeavors  that feature our partners.

Tourism Matters in Sarasota County- the Regions #1 Economic Impact

Last year, the economic impact from Visitors to Sarasota County was more than $2.9 billion.  Over 2.7 million visitors enjoyed our region in 2017 – a 9.8% increase over the previous year! Our partners-first philosophy means that more than 521 businesses are first in line to welcome those visitors and deliver a destination experience.  Collectively, our tourism efforts mean new money is spent in our community which supports jobs, lowers taxes and improves amenities in our area.

Standard Partnership Package: $450/year 

(Excluding Publications, Lodging and Relocation Partners) 
The standard partnership package is the best way for a business on a budget to establish a relationship with Visit Sarasota County and our extensive digital audience for less than $1.25 per day.
• Basic web listing: individual partner page, 5 photos, map location, link to your website
• Video opportunity on listing
• Social media opportunity on listing

Lodging Partnership Package: $660/year**

The "Lodging" package is for the VSC lodging partners. In 2016, more than 1.1 million visitors stayed in paid lodging, a 5.8% increase over 2015. More than 108,000 rooms were booked due to sporting events. 
• Includes Standard Package amenities, plus
• Enhanced website listing with 10 photos
• Leads (specific to category): Lodging, Arts, Sports, Meetings, Groups
**Additional out-of-county annual lodging fee: $400

Relocation Partnership Package: $820/year

• Standard Partnership Package plus weekly relocation leads.

The MAGIC - This is a replica of a boat built on our site by Frank Guptill in 1901. Actually it was an older sailboat that he de-masted and installed what is probably the first engine in a power boat in Sarasota and the Webb's named her Magic. The Magic was destroyed in the hurricane of 1921. In 2006 volunteers rebuilt her based upon photos, and we take people out almost every day.
