We have information about a couple of 55+ communities in our county but we do not have a full list. You can either contact a realtor or see if Google can assist. 

The fastest way to travel to Key West from our area is with the Key West Express in Fort Myers or via air from Tampa International Airport. Driving from Sarasota to Key West will take about 7 hours. 

Driving distance (approximate mileage) for Tampa is 52 miles north; Orlando is 128 miles northeast; Fort Myers is 70 miles south; Naples is 107 miles south; Miami is 214 miles south. For additional searches use following website.

Many of our parks in Sarasota County are great options for hiking and biking enthusiasts. The Legacy Trail and Myakka River State Park are only two of many. We can provide County maps that focus on these activities at our Visitor Centers

We have information about management companies that handle rentals of houses or condos in our Visitor Guide as well as brochures at our Sarasota Visitor Center. Please check our webpage  which provides options for any specific lodging need from hotels to condos to rental houses and RV parks. Contact the business directly as Visit Sarasota County is not a booking service.

This area is within walking distance to Lido Key Beach and the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Featuring distinct European flair and an eclectic variety of elegant dining and shopping options. You can explore the Circle with a self-guided history tour of its statutes or simply shop, eat and enjoy a drink in a beautiful setting.
