Venice Half Marathon & 5k - 2019

The Island of Venice is the fifth stop on the South Florida Half Marathon Tour. The course features 12 bridge crossings and a large section of the Legacy Trail including the historic Venice Train Depot. Nearly constant water views along the shaded trail lead runners along the Intracoastal Waterway. Athletes will experience a run atop the dunes with an elevated boardwalk section running parallel to the gently crashing waves of the emerald Gulf of Mexico. ​The finish includes a lap around the pristine Maxine Barrett Park with views of the Venice Municipal Fishing Pier just before the finish line. The extra early start time ensures a cool experience with the sun rising while runners are on the course.
