Chalk Festival 2019

Join the Chalk Festival family of pavement art enthusiasts  November 15 - 18 at the Venice Airport for our 12th season celebrating the theme 'Garden of Wonders,' a tribute to the marvels of the natural world and the human imagination.

Hundreds of artists, featuring the largest gathering of world-renowned traditional and 3-D pavement artists, turn the airport runway into a museum in motion with unlimited space to create - no other location or event like this one exists elsewhere.  Using chalk as their medium and the surface of the runway as their canvas, participating artists and anyone of any age is afforded the opportunity to chalk.

In addition to all the great art, spectators will see the completed restoration and redesign of the 2014 World Record Shark that spans two football fields. Also, a human maze of great vertical and pavement art. 

Other Featured Events include the Pavement Music Festival, Craft & Vendors, Food Court, Beer Garden, and the Young and Young at Heart public participation area.
