Chef Ramon Espinal

Ramon is from the Dominican Republic but grew up in the Bronx, New York where he attended Hewitt Clinton High School. As a teenager he worked in his mom’s restaurant as a dishwasher, prep cook or whatever he needed to do to help. That’s how he developed his passion for food and knew he wanted to become a chef. To accomplish his goal, Ramon moved to Atlantic City to pursue his dream. After working in the casino industry for 20 years he moved to Southwest Florida where he started with Ruth’s Chris in 2011 as a broiler cook. He worked very hard to develop his skills as a chef, and is now the new Executive Chef in Sarasota.
