Chef John Ford

With over a decade of experience in kitchens along the East Coast, Chef John Ford’s passion and expertise will evolve the menu at Jack Dusty to offer innovative dishes with an emphasis on local seasonal ingredients. A humble introduction to the culinary world, it wasn’t until high school that Chef John discovered his love for food with his eyes being opened to new flavors and cuisines that he had never experienced during a culinary arts elective course. From there, his passion for cooking blossomed as he attended Johnston & Wales in Miami for culinary arts while simultaneously working in the kitchens of Loews Hotel Miami Beach. Throughout the years, Chef John has held numerous positions at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach, starting as a Sous Chef and working his way to Senior Banquet Chef during his four years at the hotel. During the off-season, John sharpened his skills in New York at establishments such as Gilt, Aureole, Scarpetta and Union Square Café. Prior to his current role at Jack Dusty, Chef John served as the Executive Sous Chef of Stripsteak by Michael Mina. Chef John is dedicated to bringing an innovated dining experience to Jack Dusty and elevate the process of enjoying a meal. With Chef John at the helm, Jack Dusty will become a place not only revered for its food, but a relaxed and fun environment for guests to create memories.
