Chef Ethan Steiner

(UMBRELLAS 1296) Chef Ethan Steiner, a 2008 graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Michigan, completed his formal culinary training from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts with an Associates of Occupational Studies Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Culinary Management in Las Vegas. 

Steiner’s experience in Las Vegas took him to kitchens led by Chef Jose Andres of China Poblano and Chef Gordon Ramsay of Gordon Ramsay Steak.  In Detroit, Steiner worked as sous chef under Chef Seth High, and in the kitchens of Beverly Hills Grill and ML Café.  

After working a season in northern Michigan at the Island House Hotel, Steiner decided it was time to move south to Sarasota where he used to vacation as a child and fell in love with the area.  

Today Steiner is Executive Chef at Umbrella’s 1296 in the heart of downtown Sarasota, Florida.  Follow him on [email protected]_Ethan.
