For 70 years, the Sarasota Orchestra has been entertaining music lovers from around the region, and visitors from around the world. The 80-member professional Orchestra performs more than 125 classical, pops and family concerts each year, and thrives as the oldest continuing orchestra in the state of Florida. With five exhilarating series, the Orchestra offers patrons a diverse mix of concerts from September through May. Masterworks Series 

Hear the classics. Programed by Music Director Anu Tali, the Orchestra's hallmark series of seven powerful concerts feature guest conductors and guest artists from around the globe. Each concert features one or more of the most popular works of the classical repertoire. 

Pops Series

This season the Orchestra presents three vibrant Pops concerts featuring a showing of the Oscar-winning La La Land with live orchestra, An Evening with Judy Garland featuring clips from the award-winning diva, and Hollywood Hits, a collection of the best movie scores accompanied by movie clips and images.

Great Escapes Series

These audience favorites mix popular music with light classical works. Four conductors split the six concerts, providing variety and personal warmth at each concert.

Chamber Soiree Series

Chamber music lovers enjoy this concert series, featuring performances by resident ensembles of Orchestra musicians.

Discoveries Series

Our brand new series offers a refreshing classical music experience at the Sarasota Opera House. These fast paced, 75-minute programs feature works by Bach and Beethoven and today’s most accessible living composers. Post-concert Talk Backs with the conductors and soloists finish off the evening.

Sarasota Music Festival

Held for three weeks each June, the Sarasota Music Festival is a magical combination of youthful promise and acclaimed talent that carries a reputation as one of the finest classical-music events in the nation.
