SRQ prepares for new nonstop service from Dallas

For the first time ever, the trip between Dallas and sunny Sarasota will require just one flight.

Starting in December, Dallas and Sarasota will be connected by a single flight for the first time.

American Airlines new nonstop service from its hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) begins Dec. 19, meaning a much more convenient journey from Texas to Sarasota, and vice versa. Airport officials anticipate daily, but seasonal flights on an aircraft capable of carrying 70 passengers straight into SRQ airport without any connecting flights or extra car miles.

American Airlines

American Airlines offers nearly 6,700 flights daily to 350 destinations in 50 countries according to their website. The Texas-based company partners with American Eagle, a network of 9 regional carriers which operates flights to destinations in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
