New Restaurants for Savor Sarasota 2019

There are several new area eateries in the mix for Sarasota County’s annual restaurant week, the best time of year to find a new favorite meal in Sarasota County!

Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week is back with countless opportunities to capitalize on affordable menu offerings at some of our favorite area restaurants.

Nearly 90 local eateries are offering special, prix fixe lunch and dinner menus with multiple courses for just $16 and $32 per person – a fraction of what a visitor might spend during a regular week in the destination.

If you’ve taken advantage of these local foodie festivities in the past, you might be interested to hear about some of the nearly 20 new restaurants participating in 2019. From exclusive country clubs to new Sarasota-chic hotels, you’re sure to find a new favorite this year.

New in 2019

La Mucca Ballerina

Sarasota regulars might be surprised to see the former Mozzarella Fella revamped under new ownership, but La Mucca Ballerina is hardly a step down from it predecessor. Named after the Zappaterreno family’s first restaurant and farm in Italy (translates to “The Dancing Cow”), they’ve brought their passion for Italian farm-to-table right to Main Street in Sarasota.

The Bistro at The Concession Golf Club

For just two weeks in June, The Bistro at The Concession Golf Club is opening its doors to non-members to enjoy its special Savor Sarasota restaurant menu. Don’t let the nationally-acclaimed golf course distract you from this equally-pristine dining experience. Steak, salmon, gnocchi and other fine-dining-favorites will be on their menu in June.

Bridges Restaurant

Another new addition thanks to a new downtown hotel, Bridges Restaurant offers scenic views and scrumptious food on the eighth floor of the new Embassy Suites Sarasota. Bridges features a modern menu with organic and fresh local ingredients being used, and for Savor Sarasota their Salmon Pasta and Crème Brulee can’t be missed.

Le Petit Jardin Cafe

While they may be new to Savor Sarasota, Le Petit Jardin Cafe has been part of the fabric of historic downtown Venice for over 40 years. This cafe offers European-style far in an unique bistro atmosphere, and their special menu will be a vegetarian's dream with items such as Le Vegetal Burger and Le Crepe Ratatouille to compliment their seafood Le Crepe Imperial and other delicious dishes to appease all tastes at your table.

Tamiami Tap

Tamiami Tap is an outdoor-indoor neighborhood bar that serves restaurant quality food in a coastal, casual environment. The former Word of Mouth on the edges of downtown Sarasota has been transformed into a hangout for craft drinks and creations on their menu. Open minds will approve of their off-the-wall menu items like an impossible burger (popular vegan substitute) and “Dirt Dessert.”
