International Chalk Festival: November 10 - 13, 2017

Join us as the International Chalk Festival brings to life a ‘Museum in Motion’ as the hundreds of renown pavement artists use the road surface as their canvas and chalk as their medium to create oversized masterpieces. Consistently exhibiting the largest display of 3D illusions ever assembled in one location, this unique cultural experience is produce 100% by volunteers. To celebrate 10 years of chalk, a select group of artists will be in a curated fine art section.
The artists are local, national and from 36 different countries and while most are professional, the festival invites artists of all skill levels to sign up and give it a try. In fact, even you can give it a try. The Young and Young at Heart impromptu creative area is set up for anyone who wants to chalk on pavement or on the chalkboard walls.
The festival has a multitude of happenings such as the Pavement Music Festival with local and regional musicians playing from morning to sunset throughout the festivities. A museum showcasing memorabilia and memories from the past Chalk Festivals will be on display with an Augmented Reality interactive. A large tent has several food vendors as well as beverages and spirits. A hot air balloon will be onsite for those who want to view the art work from 120 feet in the air.

Join us as local and regional musicians take the stage from 8 AM till sunset for four days at the Chalk Festival. The lineup includes David Smash, Rockadials, Sound Sisters, Wanda Cook, Shore Dogs, Hatley Band, BC & the Gang, Jenn Cleary and more.
