Cruise with These Local Private Boat Tours

One of the best ways to unwind on vacation is grabbing a drink with friends and family. Sure, you could go to the bar for a frozen daiquiri, or tote some beers to the beach, but have you considered a cruise while you booze?

A fun way to get out on the water, or even get some exercise, booze cruises are always a good time and great way to get friends together in a more intimate setting. We have several ways to hit the water for a cruise our gorgeous waterways while you toast to a good time.

Cruisin’ Tikis

You may have seen the Cruisin' Tikis boat partying away on Sarasota Bay. It’s eye-catching on the horizon as onlookers try to figure out what it is exactly that they are seeing. As it inches closer and you can make out the outline you see that it is, in fact, a mobile Tiki bar. Only Florida could dream up this excellent floating party craft. A perfect setting for you and your friends to 360-Tiki in style, Cruisin’ Tikis is a growing favorite.

Operating seven days a week, the Cruisin’ Tikis boat is available to rent for a 90 minute, 3-4 hour excursion. The company provides the boat, the captain, and two coolers full of ice while you provide your friends, the drinks and the food. With a capacity of 6 guests, the Cruisin’ Tikis boat operates like an actual bar. The captain sits within the interior of the bar as youyou’re your group can roam around the floating floorboards.

The best way to enjoy the cruise is to book it for sunset. Weekend sunsets book quickly so we recommend making reservations in advance. Pick-ups are available at Bay Island Park, Hart’s Landing, or Centennial Park, and prices vary based on the pick-up location. Don’t forget to tip your captain!

Sip-N-Cycle Cruises

Sip-N-Cycle Cruises is our local option for the popular “pedal pub” concept in several other destinations. What you’ll only find in Sarasota, however, is the chance to pedal on the glistening water of Sarasota Bay. In addition to the party boat is a party bike option, but don’t be mistaken, both cruises require that you do a little bit of the leg work. Both vessels are equipped with pedals at each seat so that you help propel your party while you hang (don’t worry, there’s a motor to take over if you’d rather sip and sit).

The Sip-N-Cycle party boat has two available pick up locations at either Pop’s Sunset Grill in Nokomis or Bayfront Marina on Siesta near Turtle Beach.

LeBarge Tropical Cruises

Sarasota’s most iconic cruise is hands down LeBarge Tropical Cruises at Bayfront Island Park. While this cruise isn’t quite as private as the others listed, it is definitely a great time. LeBarge sets the tone right from the get-go with its outrageous tropical decor and real palm trees protruding from the top floor of the boat. A mermaid figure hanging off the side of the boat points the way to good times ahead.

LeBarge is available for dolphin and manatee cruises, sightseeing cruises, and our favorite the tropical sunset cruise. All cruises include light fare and a full bar, turning every experience into a good time booze cruise. The tropical sunset cruise comes complete with live music so that guests can dance the night away while awaiting the setting sun.
