Short Rib Tacos

Boca Royale Golf & Country Club

Spend an afternoon at the semi-private Boca Royale Golf & Country Club for a casual dining experience overlooking a beautiful 18 holes of sunny Sarasota County golf. The Short Rib Tacos on the lunch menu Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. are a delightful twist on a casual favorite, topped with queso fresco, pickled jalapeno and citrus sour cream.

Potato Encrusted Triggerfish

Farlow’s On The Water

Known for unique flavors of the Caribbean with a southern twist, Farlow’s On The Water is delivering a tasty take on a often-overlooked fresh catch: triggerfish. We can’t think of a better way to either try this locally caught fish for the first time, or taste it again encrusted with Farlow’s special potato and herbs and served over mashed cauliflower with grilled asparagus. (Bonus: sample another local catch—Gulf Cobia—in Farlow’s spectacular Ceviche off the appetizer menu.)

“The Brian Faro Burger” AKA The Triple Threat

Lock ‘N Key

Appearing for the first time ever this Let’s Eat Englewood is “The Brian Faro Burger” AKA The Triple Threat—an opulent, coastal take on an American classic sponsored by and named after the local chamber board president. This 5 oz. burger topped with lobster wrapped in bacon & swiss cheese and served on a toasted brioche roll with garlic butter might have you taking that beach nap earlier than expected. The immensely popular Lock ‘N Key restaurant & pub is located steps away from Englewood Beach and is a perfect stop for visitors who love live music, outdoor seating and tropical drinks to go along with their island getaway.

8 Ounce Slow Roasted Prime Rib

The Waverly

Directly across from Englewood Beach is The Waverly—a perfect blend of creative cuisine and casual, island views. The Slow Roasted Prime Rib entrée on their dinner menu is herb rubbed and served with whipped potatoes, grilled asparagus, and Au Ju dipping sauce. (Bonus: The Fried Cauliflower bites tossed in a Thai-Chili sauce might pair perfectly as a first course appetizer for this dinner.)

Fresh Conch and Octopus Salad

The Lighthouse Grill at Stump Pass

Everyone says they want to eat seafood when visiting Florida’s Gulf Coast, but how adventurous are you really feeling? This exotic salad from The Lighthouse Grill at Stump Pass will deliver a Bahamian taste to perfectly compliment the glistening gulf water view of Stump Pass as the sun sets during your dinner. The salad mixes fresh conch and octopus with roasted garlic, onions, Spanish olives and peppers tossed in olive oil, white vinegar and fresh lemon juice (served with smashed plantains).

La Monte Cristo Crepe

Mango Bistro

Take a trip to historic Dearborn Street in the Englewood Fishing Village for lunch at Mango Bistro. We guarantee you’ve never experienced a whirlwind of flavors like the La Monte Cristo Crepe featuring ham, chicken and French brie cheese wrapped in a crepe and drizzled with raspberry chipotle sauce and powdered sugar. If it seems like a surprising combination, that’s just because you haven’t tried it yet.
