Highland Ridge Park, located at 6225 Kenwood Drive, is an 8 acre neighborhood park that is also home to one of the City's Extreme Parks, the Highland Ridge Bike Park. General Development Corporation sold the land to the City of North Port with the deed executed in December of 1987. The BMX Bike Park was added in 2009 and features a 15,000-square-foot riding area utilizing portable ramp modules. Admission is $1 or an annual pass can be purchased at either of the Community Center's for $30.

The park features a large green space with Live Oak, Slash Pine, Sabal Palm, East Palatka Holly, Bottle Brush and Carrot Wood trees included in the landscape, along with Wax Myrtle and Palmetto. There is also a playground, tennis court, 2 racquetball courts, 2 basketball courts, 3 shuffleboard courts, picnic tables and a grill. The pavilion at this park can accommodate up to 25 people and is available for rental through the Parks and Recreation Division.

To get to the park from City Hall, take Sumter Blvd. to 41, turn right on 41 towards North Port Boulevard. At North Port Boulevard, turn left and follow to Kenwood Drive.
